About this work
A hand-colored print titled Mining and quarrying, attributed to A. Toller and dated 1875. It shows miners hammering and chiselling rock on a cliff face, a man pushing a wheelbarrow of broken stone, and a worker sorting ore beside a wooden shed with a waterfall. A horse-drawn cart and a distant hilltop castle appear in the background among forested slopes.
