About this work
A bird's-eye chromolithographic panorama of the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago shows a dense arrangement of monumental exhibition halls, domes, and canals along the lakefront. Steamboats and sailboats crowd the water in the foreground beside a tall campanile-style tower, while green lawns and distant city haze stretch across the background. The print was produced by Winters Art Litho. Co. in 1892.
