About this work

A colored lithograph titled Siege of Vicksburg shows Union soldiers in dark blue uniforms firing rifles from behind woven earthworks while shells burst on the hillside. Officers with swords stand at right, and steamboats move along a broad river toward a Confederate flag on the bluff. The print was produced by Kurz & Allison in 1888.
