About this work
A hand-coloured lithographic plate from Le Magasin de Meubles shows a small black wood bookcase with glazed doors, gilt bronze mounts and copper inlay. Its lower panels display trophy-and-ribbon motifs, and a scale bar and publisher's caption appear beneath. The print is attributed to Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
