About this work
A hand-coloured plate from the Le Magasin de Meubles series shows two small round tables side by side. The left example, labelled Nécessaire, has an inlaid top and a tiered lower shelf on a tripod base, while the right example, labelled Étagère ronde, has a dark spindle-galleried shelf on a triangular base. The sheet is credited to Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
