About this work
A hand-colored lithographic plate from Le Magasin de Meubles shows a richly furnished salon with gilt-framed mirrors, red upholstered Louis XV style seating, and an upright piano. Swagged red and violet drapery frames the windows, and a floral medallion rug covers the parquet floor. The work is attributed to Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
