About this work
This hand-colored print from the Le Magasin de Meubles series, plate 623, shows a Louis XVI style window with a blue silk cantonnière valance over green velvet drapes trimmed with red and gold fringe and tassels. Sheer lace panels hang behind the drapes, and a painted floral border and rose garland frame the design. The work is attributed to Victor Léon Michel Quétin and dated 1832 to 1904.
