About this work
A hand-colored print titled Fenêtre Henri II, à draperies, published by Victor Léon Michel Quétin, shows an elaborate window treatment with swagged valances in pink, gold, and teal silk. Heavy side curtains are gathered with tassels and tiebacks, and a pale roller blind sits beneath, above a small Renaissance-revival side table holding a bowl of objects. The sheet is labeled Le Magasin de Meubles, plate 583, and is dated 1832 - 1904.
