About this work
A hand-coloured plate from Le Magasin de Meubles shows a window dressed with swagged valance and pleated curtains in rose and gold tones, finished with tassels and braided trim. A small side table with a fringed cloth holds a blue vase of flowers in front of a latticed window. The plate is by Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
