About this work
A hand-colored plate titled Fauteuils de cabinet; Fauteuils confortables, attributed to Victor Léon Michel Quétin and dated 1832 to 1904, presents eight armchair designs arranged in two rows. The upper row shows Grec and Louis XIII examples in green upholstery and turned wood, while the lower row shows a Louis XVI gilded chair with pink damask and a modern leather armchair with dark wooden legs.
