About this work
A hand-coloured print of a Louis XVI style window treatment in gilded wood, showing swagged blue silk curtains with floral-painted borders, tasselled tiebacks, and sheer lace-edged panels. Through the glazed doors a pastoral landscape with trees and a winding path is visible. The plate is by Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
