About this work
A hand-colored lithographic plate from Le Magasin de Meubles shows two Louis XVI style seats, a side chair numbered 958 and an armchair numbered 959, with gilded carved frames. Both are upholstered in floral tapestry depicting courtly figures in a garden setting. The print is credited to Victor Léon Michel Quétin and dated 1832 to 1904.
