About this work
A hand-colored plate shows a Cromwell canapé, a sofa with a high sloping back striped with floral-patterned panels and green braid. Three rose-colored cushions sit on the seat, and the skirt is draped with swagged fabric and fringe. The sheet bears the title, plate number, and publisher's imprint of Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
