About this work
A hand-colored furniture plate from Le Magasin de Meubles, plate 557, shows two ministerial desks titled Bureau Ministre Henri II, catalogued as 3314 and 3315. The upper desk is dark with a red leather top and turned legs, while the lower desk is in light wood with a green leather writing surface and turned legs joined by a shelf.
