About this work
A drawing by Johan Braakensiek titled De Boerengeneraals te Berlijn shows a uniformed officer in a plumed helmet, a fur-trimmed cloak, and decorated sash and medals, standing in a dim room. A second, lighter figure in a peaked cap appears in the shadows on the right, and a sketched crowd of onlookers is visible in a framed picture on the left.
