A book cover design in brown, yellow, blue and cream showing a boy running forward while holding up a newspaper titled De Koerier, with two figures waving behind him and a house among trees. The title Dikkie Dykstra wordt journalist and the author name Johan Blinxma appear in the lettering, with the publisher L.J. Veen's Uitgevers Mij. N.V. at the base. Eddy de Smet's signature is visible near the lower right of the illustration, and the work is dated 1947.
