About this work
A pen-and-ink drawing with turquoise wash shows three boys setting up a tent on grass beneath a tree. One boy kneels inside the billowing blue fabric while another holds it up and a third, in a striped sports top, swings a mallet to drive in a stake, with cooking pots and a cup on the ground nearby. The work is titled Drie jongens zetten een tent op, signed by Eddy de Smet, and dated 1947.
