About this work
A Japanese woodblock-style print shows two circular dishes on a black ground. The upper dish has an orange rim, a lattice of brown branches with green leaves and pink berries, and a golden bird over a pale blue swirling wave motif. The lower dish, on a white field, has a pale blue wave pattern around a plain center.
