About this work
This plate, titled Shin-Bijutsukai Pl.283 and attributed to Furuya Kōrin, dated 1901-1902, shows dark silhouettes of birds flying across a square panel of horizontal bands in lilac, peach, and pale blue. Faint pale-grey pine trees rise from the lower margin of the cream sheet, framing the printed image.
