About this work
This page from Shin-Bijutsukai Pl.146 by Furuya Kōrin, dated 1901-1902, shows five stacked horizontal bands of stylized landscape. Each band depicts rounded green pine clusters edged in white, upright posts bound with cords, orange maple foliage, and sprigs of blossoming branches against a pale yellow ground. The print is a Japanese-style decorative design rendered in restrained, flat colour.
