About this work
A technical plate presents several pump pistons drawn in perspective and orthographic projection, with labeled parts such as the leather cups, valves, handles and tenons. The title, attributed to Jean Jacques Lequeu and dated 1825, describes the rendering of plans, elevations and profiles of opaque bodies. The sheet is finished in soft washes of grey and pink on a warm ground.
