About this work
A chromolithographed plate shows nine jewelry designs on a deep red ground, dominated by a diamond tiara shaped as a sheaf of wheat tied with a ribbon. Smaller brooches, earrings, rings, and a pendant with blue enamel panels surround it, all rendered with gold and white highlights. The plate is attributed to Martin Gerlach and dated 1872 to 1873.
