About this work
This chromolithograph from the series Die Perle shows four jewelry designs arranged on a dark ground, with a large gold necklace set with pink cabochon stones and small white stones at the center. Smaller designs include a green-stoned brooch and a hair ornament with a fan-like arrangement of stones. The work is attributed to Martin Gerlach and dated 1872 to 1873.
