About this work
A woodblock print shows a red-pillared temple gate with a dark tiled roof, set beneath tall green pine trees under a pale blue sky. A monk in an orange robe walks along the stone path toward the gate, and calligraphic signboards are visible on the structure. This print by Kawase Hasui is dated 1932 and is held by the Portland Art Museum.
