About this work
A snowfall settles over a pale teal lake, where a row of snow-laden pine trees leans over a white embankment. A lone figure in a wide hat and cloak walks along the shore, and a wooden boat rests at the lower right beside reeds. This woodblock print by Kawase Hasui, dated 1947, is titled Mito Hinuma no yuki (Snow at Hinuma Swamp in Mito).
