A woodblock print shows a snow-capped conical mountain rising above a frost-covered field lined with furrows and dotted with bundled rice stacks. Bare trees with orange-tinted branches and wooded hills frame the scene under a pale gradient sky. Kawase Hasui made this print in 1939, titled Izu Nagaoka shimo no asa (Frosty morning in Nagaoka, Izu).
