About this work
A woodblock print showing a snow-covered coastal village with thatched-roof houses beside a winding stream that flows toward the sea. A lone figure walks along a path through the snowy dunes while waves break on the shore under a pale pink and blue sky. The print is by Kawase Hasui and dates to 1950, and its title identifies the location as Onjuku in Chiba Prefecture.
