About this work
A colour lithographic cartoon titled Their Place in the Sun, published by the Carey Cartoon Service in 1918. It shows caricatured figures of Kaiser Bill, Russia, Sinn Fein, Carranza of Mexico and the IWW standing on gallows, while Uncle Sam and allied figures such as Belgium, France and Italy look on. Speech balloons carry satirical captions about the Kaiser and the hanged figures.
