About this work
A colored political cartoon shows European nations, personified as caricatures, rushing into a small lifeboat labeled WAR as a steamship named PEACE is struck by an explosion. A figure labeled MARS in a rowboat gloats over the shattered peace, and the piece was issued by Carey Cartoon Service in 1915.
