About this work
A hand-colored political cartoon shows a pirate ship labeled War, its deck crowded with caricatured European nations in combat, while Uncle Sam representing Unpreparedness clings to a raft beside a Neutrality boat. Sharks labeled Annihilation and Confiscation circle the waters, and the caption reads The Freedom of the Seize. The work was issued weekly by Carey Cartoon Service in 1915.
