About this work

A hand-colored pen and ink cartoon shows a crowded city street filled with newsboys shouting extras, passersby holding protest signs, and a policeman directing the crowd. Speech balloons and placards parody wartime news, while the New York Times building and trolley car anchor the scene. The print is credited to the Carey Cartoon Service and bears the caption 'Sherman Was Right, Allright!'
