About this work
A hand-colored political cartoon shows Uncle Sam seated at a desk beside Woodrow Wilson, with Bryan and a newspaper reporting a torpedoed Nebraskan off the Irish coast. In the adjoining room, personified nations including England, France, Russia, Italy, Holland, Serbia and Japan react to the American response. The print was issued by the Carey Cartoon Service in 1915.
