About this work
A colored ink cartoon titled Pleasant Dreams, produced by the Carey Cartoon Service in 1915, shows caricatured figures labeled Austria, Germany, Italy, Russia, Bulgaria and Greece crowding around a sleeping king beneath a crown, with a revolution looming above. Speech bubbles carry satirical remarks, and a warship appears at the upper right, with the work printed below in bold capital letters.
