About this work
A hand-colored political cartoon shows a blindfolded figure of Justice balancing scales, with a US soldier in one pan and a group of Mexican revolutionary leaders in the other. Uncle Sam, Woodrow Wilson, and Theodore Roosevelt appear at right, with a sign reading Mexico and a document about mobilizing the United States militia. The work was issued by Carey Cartoon Service in New York and bears the date 1916.
