About this work
A hand-colored political cartoon titled Obstructing Traffic shows a large barrel labeled Monopoly Water Wagon blocking a street while figures labeled with national names ride on it and a man in a top hat labeled John Bull & Co. speaks from its side. A car marked American Shipping Interests, carrying figures labeled Wilson and Bryan, waits behind a policeman, and the shop front on the right reads Wilhelm & Francis-Joseph, Inc. The work was issued weekly by Carey Cartoon Service and dated 1915.
