About this work
A 1916 cartoon print titled Latest Importation, issued by the Carey Cartoon Service. It shows a tank rolling toward a columned government building where Uncle Sam stands on the steps, while a Zeppelin airship marked 4-11-44 looms overhead with German officers aboard. Caricatures of allied soldiers labeled Russia, Roumania and France, and a figure resembling Hearst, appear among speech balloons with satirical captions.
