About this work
A colored political cartoon shows figures representing nations climbing a steep mountain toward a summit labeled Victory, roped together with ice picks labeled with names such as Liberty, Navy and Bravery. Speech bubbles carry captions addressed to the climbers, while figures labeled Austria, Bulgaria and Turkey are shown tethered to the lower slopes. The print is titled Going Up! and was produced by Carey Cartoon Service in 1917.
