About this work
A colored political cartoon shows Uncle Sam and a John Bull figure wading in the North Sea while a blockade is debated, with a German figure in the Baltic and a Dutch figure surrounded by crates. Speech bubbles and labeled ships, ports and countries from the map express the dispute over neutral rights. The work is a 1916 print issued by Carey Cartoon Service under the title Giving 'Em Their Rights.
