About this work
A 1915 political cartoon by the Carey Cartoon Service shows personified nations seated around a dinner table, with a large roast turkey labeled Constantinople at the center. Speech bubbles and labels such as Russia, France, Italy, Japan, Belgium, Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria identify the figures, and a sign reads International Boarding House, J. Bull, Prop. The caption at the bottom reads A Dainty Dish to Set Before a King.
