About this work
An ink drawing by Samuel Ehrhart, dated 1911, titled Europe; as the personally conducted Domines described it. A broad plaza is lined with towering Gothic cathedrals with pointed spires and rose windows, while a silhouetted gargoyle and rooftop spire frame the foreground. In an inset circle a guide in a top hat gestures to two women, and a row of top-hatted sightseers looks on at the lower right.
