About this work
An open album page shows a pencil and ink study of a bird wing with layered feathers on the left, and a watercolor study of a green lotus leaf with a long stem on the right. Japanese calligraphy and a seal-like inscription appear beside the leaf. The work is attributed to Ariyoshi Kondo and dated 1826-1840.
