About this work
A monochrome ink sketch on cream paper shows several plant stems with serrated leaves and clusters of small umbel-like flowers, with faint blue-grey wash shapes behind them. Japanese characters appear at the top of the page. This sheet is plate 087 from a sketchbook by Ariyoshi Kondo, dated 1826-1840.
