About this work
This page from a sketchbook shows yellow lilies painted in watercolor, with green stems, buds and narrow leaves drawn across two facing pages. A pencil study of a lily with spotted petals appears in the upper left, and inscriptions in Japanese script appear at the top and in the lower center.
