About this work
A two-panel satirical print shows men crowding into a penitentiary labeled IN while a giant pointing hand of the Law directs them, and on the other side released men leave through a door marked OUT carrying papers reading FREEDOM. A giant open hand at right is turned away from a city skyline with the words EX-CONVICTS NOT WANTED. Art Young made the print, which is dated 1909.
