About this work
A colored lithographic cartoon by Charles Jay Taylor from 1894 shows two tall allegorical women, labeled Columbia and Europa, holding hands above a group of seated caricatured men. Two of the men hold signs reading Sherman Bill did it and McKinley Bill did it, while crowds of figures and factory chimneys appear in the background.
