About this work
A colored lithographic plate titled The Crystal Fountain, after a design by Matthew Digby Wyatt, dated 1851 to 1853. It shows a tall, tiered cast-metal fountain with ornate scalloped bowls, spires, and arcs of falling water, set in a circular basin framed by tropical palms and ferns against a warm tan arched background.
