About this work
A hand-colored lithographic plate shows a hanging pendant lamp with a deep blue globular porcelain body, pierced with openwork patterns and framed by gilt metal mounts and suspension chains. A gilded medallion on the body depicts a seated robed figure, and grey tasselled cords hang from the base and sides. The plate is inscribed with the title and the names of the draughtsman and publisher.
