About this work
A costume design drawing in watercolor and gouache shows a woman in an 18th-century style white gown with silver trim, a pink sash, and a towering powdered wig decorated with pink roses and blue ribbons. The figure stands against a soft green wash, and the title "Queen of the Blended Rose" is inscribed at the top. The work is attributed to Will R. Barnes and dated 1912 - 1924.
