About this work
A watercolor and pencil costume design shows a trumpeter in an orange and black tunic with studded trim, a plumed helmet, and black breeches with tall brown boots. He holds a trumpet with a fringed banner bearing a dark heart within an orange wreath. The sheet is titled Trumpeters (The Burning Mountain) and is attributed to Will R. Barnes, dated 1912 to 1924.
