About this work
A watercolor and gouache costume design shows a standing female figure in profile, dressed as the Queen of Egypt. She wears a jeweled turquoise and red headdress with a bird ornament, a beaded collar and belt, a white gown with blue floral hem, and a long purple cape edged in gold, while holding a staff. The sheet is titled "Queen of Egypt" and signed by Will R. Barnes, dated between 1912 and 1924.
